Costa Rica Volunteering is a grassroots, community-led organization based in the Ostional Wildlife Refuge in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. We are dedicated to the protection of endangered sea turtles, working year-round on night patrols, hatchery management, and biological data collection.
Our project is deeply integrated with the local community, providing volunteers and students with a highly authentic, hands-on conservation experience in one of the world's most important sea turtle nesting beaches.

Students can join our standard volunteer program to gain real-world fieldwork experience, support local conservation efforts, and immerse themselves in Costa Rican culture without formal academic deliverables.
We have the capacity to work directly with your faculty to co-create a personalized syllabus. We can adapt our operations to meet your specific learning objectives, oversee field assessments, and issue official Government Certificates of Participation so your university can award academic credit.
